Downwinders at Risk is a Dallas based non-profit group that focuses exclusively on North Texas clean air issues. They work with city administrators and private groups to educate the public on health issues that affect the quality of life for everyone living in the metroplex.
We worked with Downwinders to design and build a unique and creative visual data display. The display was presented in an event booth at EarthX at Fair Park in Dallas. It helped spectators to visualize the levels of microscopic air pollutants that get absorbed into people’s bodies on a daily basis. The data display is capable of being updated in real-time with new mobile air quality readings and will be used at a number of future locations to help spread Downwinders’ educational message to the public.
